First Blog Post

This photo is the sun rising behind a big, grand tree. I like this photo because of how the tree show'd up as just a silhouette, completely blacked out. It allows the colors from the sun rise to pop. I think if this photo had been taken with a better camera it would have allowed me to capture the colors more vividly.  Also if it was taken at a better spot I could have illuminated the houses and trees making the bottom look busy.  This photo makes me feel good because I can still remember the morning I woke up to this and jumped out of bed to capture this moment. It makes me happy, and also calm. The first thing attracting my eyes would be the colors of the early morning sky. They're warm, but vivid and alive.  I think the picture tells a story of natural beauty we can all appreciate if we make an effort to see it. I think the photo is split in two of visual vocal points, one being the sky, the other the tree. The main, and I believe only, source of light is the sun. ~Shannon
